Promoting products using your page is more appropriate than creating a fake account. Krisleen I don't think creating a fake Facebook account is a good idea. If you have a lot of friends who you don't know and they have lots of pictures, you could find that pretty hard to do next to impossible. That could include recognizing your friends from their photos.
You will eventually get asked to confirm your ID in one of several possible ways. FB are clamping down hard on fake accounts. Moral of the story, you're better off using your own real account (not creating a fake one with poached photos). Especially so then as they'll look at your history and know what you're up to and just gouge you out. This may happen if you start posting things to your profile, pages or groups straight away. FB rarely listen to and act upon appeals. If they see that the photo you uploaded doesn't match you (even if it is but they don't think it is) they will just suspend your account and you wont be able to get it back even by appealing. The other way they may ask you to do that is to upload a photo of yourself which they'll manually check in your photos for.
